Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat has surprised her weak-kneed fans by yet another feat. She has bagged US based Multicultural Motion Picture Association’s Diversity Awards.
The willowy actress is to fly to the Universal Studios’ Global Theatre in California for the award. The 2008 Renaissance Artist Award, given to diversely talented artists who have made an impact worldwide, has been given to Salma Hayek, Monica Belluci and Halle Berry. The citation of the award states, “Distinctive on-screen persona that is uniquely their own and allows their character depictions to bring audiences from laughter to tears.”
Known for her bold onscreen presence, Mallika has acted alongside Hollywood action-comedian Jackie Chan in ‘The Myth’ and is presently working in ‘Hiss’, which stars Jennifer Lynch and Robert Kurtzman.
