Bollywood hottie Abhishek Bachchan has finally decided to get rid of his extra flab. Well, Junior B had initially gained those extra pounds for the super hit flick, ‘Guru’ and has stuck to that physique ever since.
But now, it seems that Abhishek is daunted by his ‘reel’ life lover boy, John Abraham’s hot-bod and stunning six-pack look in ‘Dostana’ and is all set to follow the league. Well, why not? The entire film industry seems to be following the six-pack trend quite religiously. However, Abhishek claims that the new look is strictly for good friend Mani Ratnam’s untitled flick.
“Actors are doing one film at a time, they are willing to jump into the character, look the part and if required to be very fit, they do that. I put on weight for ‘Guru’ as that was the character's requirement. Now for the film I am shooting with Mani, he needed me to be lean so I lost weight for it. Tomorrow, if there's a film where someone wants me to look fit and show my abs, I will get into shape for it.”
“I think in order to be fit, you need to work out. I have always had a trainer and he's helping me stay in shape. I am following a certain diet too”, a news daily quoted the actor as saying.
The six-pack look was apparently never a cause of concern for Abhishek as the actor played well in all the roles her enacted so far. And, most of all his striking personality surpassed almost everyone in the film fraternity.
And, here’s what the lad had to say about his chubby look, “Well, somebody's got to be different and stand out in the crowd. I have never been asked for that kind of a requirement in my films. When everybody was getting six-pack abs I was building a one-pack abs for ‘Guru’. I went the completely opposite way and put on weight. But that was the film I was doing at that point of time.”
Well, we love him anyways!
